EMT Refresher

Students are expected to make a 100% commitment to our course and attend all class sessions, students are only allowed to miss up to 10 hours of class time for valid reasons only. The program requires a lot of reading, be prepared and committed to do out of class work. Upon Completion of EMT Refresher, students are awarded a Course Completion Certificate.


Please Note: A copy of students EMT License must be provided to instructor on the first day of class.


Psychomotor Exam

Prerequisites: Students must be 18 years of age or older at the time of registration and have a valid EMT License. Proof of EMT License must be provided to instructor on the first day of class.

Classroom Training: Psychomotor exams are held on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month. Students must register with their instructor in advance to be place in a Psychomotor exam session.


Continuing Education (CEs) 24, 48 and 72 Hour Classes

Entire course must be completed within 364 days of purchase. CE classes DO NOT include skills testing.


Please Note: A copy of students EMT License must be provided to instructor before certificates of completion are awarded.


Refund Policies:

Refund policies are individual to each course and are posted on course pages, please review refund policy and students right to refund before enrollment.


Refusal of Service:

SoCal EMT/Fire Training reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. Withdrawal may be effectuated by the student's conduct, including, but not necessarily limited to, a student's lack of attendance or falsified documentation.

Terms and Conditions

Please read the following requirements for each course. Terms and Conditions for all classes are subject to change without notice but are a reflection of State and County standards. Existing students will be notified of any changes to terms and conditions. Pricing is subject to change without notice, students making a deposit will be guaranteed price at time of purchase. SoCal EMT/Fire Training and it's employees have the right to remove any student from class that is deemed unfit to attend. Students dismissed from attendance will not be eligible for refund.


EMT Basic - Classroom Setting

Students are expected to make a 100% commitment to our course and attend all class sessions, students are only allowed to miss up to 10 hours of class time for valid reasons only. The program requires a lot of reading, be prepared and committed to do out of class work. Upon Completion of EMT Basic, students are awarded a Course Completion Certificate that qualifies them to take the National Registry Exam for certification as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic.


Final exam retake policy: Students are allowed two (2) attempts to pass the final. If the student does not pass the first attempt, they may retake the final two weeks after the first attempt. This two week period is designed to allow students the opportunity to study the material again before their second attempt.


Ride-Along: Students are required to attend an ambulance ride-along for skills evaluation. Students must have 10 patient contacts at a minimum. Instructors will coordinate with students to setup ride-alongs with our provider Cole-Schaeffer. If Student wishes to perform ride-along with another provider, it must be approved by the Program Director prior to scheduling. Students must complete ride-along before a course completion certificate is issued.


EMT Basic - Hybrid Online

Entire program (on-line portion, skills evaluation, final (including final exam retake, if needed), and ride-along) must be completed within 364 days of purchase. Upon completion of EMT Basic, students are awarded a Course Completion Certificate that qualifies them to take the National Registry Exam for certification as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic.


Prerequisites: Students must be 18 years of age or older at the time of registration and have a valid BLS CPR card. Proof of BLS CPR card must be provided to instructor prior to taking the final exam.

Skills Practice/Evaluation and Final Exam: Skills and Final Exam sessions are held on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month. Final Exam is 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, Skills Practice/Evaluation 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Students must register with their instructor in advance to be placed in a Skills Practice/Evaluation and/or Final exam session.

Students enrolled in the Hybrid Online Version may attend any skills practice session. Please register with your instructor as space is limited.

Internship: 24 hours ambulance ride-along for skills evaluation. Students must have 10 patient contacts at a minimum. Instructors will coordinate with students to setup ride-alongs with our provider Cole-Schaeffer.
